CNC Milling Machines Workholding Manufacturer MicroLoc reports an upturn in business

Story added 13 February 2010.

CNC Milling Machine Workholding manufacturer and UK tooling specialist MicroLoc have reported better than expected sales in the last quarter of 2009 and the first quarter of 2010. Supplying a wide range of markets with their workholding products, MicroLoc continued their impressive year on year growth even during the recession.

The MicroLoc series of workholding clamping systems is one of the most adaptable, versatile and compact vice products available in today's tooling manufacturing market. The base plates, which act as a datum for the vices provide a clamping repeatability of less than +/- 25 microns and can be manufactured to ideally suit any machine tool.

MicroLoc sell on average 20 systems a month into the UK market, in the last quarter of 2009 over 90 systems were sold, there can be only one of two reasons for this quotes Managing Director Mike Jenness 'either the machine tool market has picked up considerably or engineers are looking at ways of getting more out of their current machine tools, either way its great for our business'

'We look forward to a great 2010, early indications show that the improvement in the last quarter of 2009 wasn't just a blip and more like a trend' concludes Mike.
