The CNC Training Academy achieves top marks in 2011

Story added 21 December 2011.

The CNC Training Academy’s reported strong sales results for 2011 have, according to Jeff Hart (CNC Training Academy Manager) helped reinforce the organisation’s position as ‘one of (if not the) UK’s premier provider of specialist, high-quality and cost-competitive CNC Programmer training’.

During the 12 month period from January 2011 to December 2011, over 350 people from some 154 different companies were trained by the Academy (either at the Academy’s modern and state-of-the-art facilities in Leamington or off-site at customer’s premises), a 30% increase over the number of customers trained in 2010 and a 50% increase in the number of companies using the Academy for their CNC training requirements during 2010.

Commented Jeff Hart, CNC Training Academy Manager:

‘We have certainly experienced an increase in demand for all of our courses – from basic through to advanced – over the last 12 months.

‘Many UK and Irish manufacturers invested in training and improved the skills of their people to help them cope with and capitalise on the economic upturn. They needed access to professionally-delivered, high-added value training and selected the Academy as their training provider.’

It’s been a busy year for the CNC Training Academy.

As well as coping with the increase in demand for its existing Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemens Programmer courses, the Academy has expanded its course provision (and hence its appeal) by introducing a number of advanced and specialist courses to its portfolio.

These include new courses include -: FeatureCAM, Fanuc Manual Guide i; PC Fapt; Cimco Edit 5 and DNC-Max etc.

The Academy has also benefitted over the last 12 months from a significant revamp and refurbishment programme. New investment in hardware, software and audio-visual resources and equipment has helped the Academy transform its look and feel, and provide customers with a more rewarding learning experience.

Concludes Jeff Hart:

‘We have ambitious plans for 2012.

‘We will be launching our new website early in January 2012 and are again exhibiting in our own right at the MACH 2012 exhibition in April.’

‘We will be increasing the scope and scale of our training operations and, by the end of the first quarter, will have doubled the Academy’s floor space at our Leamington facility to cope with the increased demand for our courses.’
