Confidence Package gets another major backer

Story added 01 September 2009.

Precision engineering companies continue to benefit from the buying option provided by Ward Hi-Tech for the organisation's CNCmachine tools, it has been announced.

Machining centres and CNC lathes from Dah Lih and Hwacheon have again been targeted by a leading company, with Aerotech - a subcontracting manufacturer - finally being convinced to invest after seven months of considerations into the expanding of its turning facilities.

Roger Foley, the managing director of Aerotech, explained that the Ward Hi-Tech purchasing option was "really clever".

He continued: "Taking advantage of the Confidence Package, we agreed quickly to buy a Hwacheon Cutex 200, 8-inch chuck turning centre which has enabled us to immediately take on the turning work we know is available to us right now and if things turn down later in the year, we can simply send back the machine without penalty!"

Last week, UK sales manager for Ward Hi-Tech Mike Burke revealed that three Hwacheon turning centres has been ordered very quickly after the promotion started, adding that the machines were heading to a northern aerospace contractor.
