In 2012 MTD aims to become the number one UK based website for engineers looking for tooling solutions, this shouldn't prove too difficult when you consider there's currently very little in terms of an online resource for cutting tools and tooling in the UK.

Our intention is to grow relationships with leading cutting tool and tooling suppliers throughout the UK and promote their products, services and solutions to you the engineer.

In an extension to this we will offer tooling solutions, in essence a tooling clinic. Commonly engineers hit obsticles or have problems when looking to machine certain parts/components, the MTD tooling solutions page will offer instance answers from experts to all cutting tool/tooling issues.

Operating in the same format as our other resource pages, engineers will simply fill out a form detailing their issues, submit it and then await solutions and answers from companies and suppliers in the know.

Coupled with this our tooling/accessories section is becoming increasingly popular amongst our users and we are attracting a whole host of new suppliers looking to market their products from the industry, so you can expect a boom in content in this area to.

The MTD Tooling and Accessories Deals page lays hosts to many special offers available from UK suppliers, during 2012 you can expect to see this quadruple in size, we have now recruited the services of a new Business Manager to grow this side of the company. As it stands you can find deals on 4th axis units, cutting tools, filtration systems, swarf units, chucks for lathes, collets and toolholders, we're looking to grow this to include carbide tooling, vending tooling systems, barfeeds, fixed steadies and anything else you can think of that's associated with machine tools.

MTD doubled in size during 2011, the business model is very efficient and currently machine tool suppliers are seeing on average 30 - 40 enquiries per month for their products listed on the website, this is without taking into consideration requests for wanteds, engineers looking to sell and results from targetted emarketing messages sent through the integrated e-suite.

Cutting tool and tooling suppliers can expect the same when they join the club. Bring on 2012.
