Delcam partners with 35 stands at EMO

Story added 05 October 2009.

As part of its push to highlight the flexibility of its software, Delcam has announced a partnership with 35 companies at an upcoming CNC machining show.

The precision engineering software organisation will be promoting its wares this week at Milan's EMO show alongside some of the leading providers of CNC lathes, turning machines, milling machines and other offerings in the trade.

Among them will be Mitsubishi, Matsuura, Renishaw, Tornos and Yamazaki Mazak, who are all attending the event between October 5th and 9th.

Delcam's advanced manufacturing product manager Mark Forth said: "Companies looking to invest in CAM software are often worried whether the toolpaths generated will work as well on the machine tool as they do on the computer."

He added that thanks to partners at the EMO show, the organisation will be able to demonstrate the "speed and quality that is possible" with Delcam products on an extensive selection of machines.

Delcam was established in 1965 by Donald Welbourn, the former director in industrial co-operation at Cambridge University.
