Delcam to show wide range of software at Donington Park event

Story added 14 October 2009.

A leading precision engineering software firm is to promote its wares at an upcoming event to highlight the wide array of tools it can supply its consumers.

Delcam is to give its UK designers their first chance to see the newest release of its PowerSHAPE computer-aided design (CAD) software at the CADCAM Matters event, which is being organised by Machinery magazine and takes place at Donington Park on November 18th.

It will add to a number of other products the company has created for several other applications.

Delcam's marketing manager for China Peter Dickin explained that with PowerMILL, FeatureCAM, PartMaker or ArtCAM, the company is able to offer a CAM system to help in the CNC machining of nearly any product in any material and on any type of equipment.

He added: "Recently, we have added dedicated products for the manufacture of dental restorations and the production of orthotics. No other supplier has such a broad range of software to increase productivity, improve quality and shorten delivery times in so many applications."

Earlier this month, Delcam announced that Hitech Shapes and Designs, a division of an Ohio-based precision engineering company, has harnessed PowerMill to hugely reduce its lead times while not compromising quality.
