High-end dental bridges provided by new CAM program

Story added 08 June 2009.

Following popular reactions at the IDS 2009 gathering in Cologne earlier this year, Open Mind Technologies is proud of its latest release of hyperDENT.

The CAM software is a fully-automated programming system for the production and manufacturing of high-quality dental bridges, with novices targeted by the company to create easy, quick and reliable designs in ten structured steps.

hyperDENT also encourages more complex machining through a customisation facility, which can be used by CNC machining experts to get better results with smaller amounts of input, with the program being compatible with a number of 3D scanners and milling machines from different vendors.

All materials used in dental engineering are also compatible, including titanium, precious metals, base metal alloys and zirconium oxide, whether they are using a turning centre or a five-axis solution.

The British outpost for Open Mind is based in Oxford and alongside dental solutions, the company provides precision engineering software for the aerospace and automotive industry.
