High levels of interest at Mach 2010 for ACS Cleaning Systems

Story added 16 June 2010.

At MACH 2010 acs demonstrated its exceptional airborne particulate removal systems and the new mobile universal low pressure cleaner range from PH-Cleantec, with both units generating remarkably high levels of interest from show visitors.

The Cleantec SRK1000-AS is an innovative new machine that heats water or coolant to conduct machine cleaning operations with great ease and efficiency. Since becoming the sole UK distributor for the new mobile cleaner range from PH-Cleantec in 2009, acs has witnessed an extremely high level of interest. The SRK1000-AS heats water or coolant to 95 degrees C in under a minute and works at an operating pressure from 3 to 7.5Bar to clean components and machine tools.

At MACH 2010, enquiries for this new product came from a diverse range of businesses that work with machine tools. Machine tool users showed a high level of interest in how the PH-Cleantec unit can clean machines quickly and efficiently to fit into regular planned preventative maintenance programs. Whilst machine re-sellers with a high turnover of machines were also keen to learn how they could rapidly clean machines with little effort.

For machine re-sellers and maintenance departments, the extremely mobile cleaning unit can be wheeled to any machine in a production area within minutes, credit to its lightweight 55kg frame. To further improve access to machine tools, the unit has a 5m suction hose, 8m power cable and 5m lance cable attached to a standard 600mm lance.

Once in place, the compact mobile unit, that has no fluid tank, can suck liquid directly from the machine tool coolant sump or can be connected to an external water tap providing a variable spray water volume from 1 to 1.8litre/per minute. This provides maintenance staff with a solution to removing stubborn marks, oil, swarf and stains from the area to be cleaned. The ability of the unit to use machine coolant was very attractive and a new concept for visitors to the acs stand at MACH.

The acs OMF1000 media air cleaning system on show at MACH removes coolant mist/smoke from machining applications and with oil and coolant mist increasingly problematic in modern high performance machine tools, acs had a lot of interest from health and safety conscious manufacturers.

The free standing OMF1000 unit is designed for direct attachment to most machine tools and the highly efficient media air cleaner has been developed for machining applications where high and low pressure coolant is used. With an air volume of 1000m3h and a 500W motor that generates a noise level below 68dB, the compact 120kg unit comfortably fits into any machine shop or tool room with minimal disruption.

An elated Air Cleaning Systems Managing Director, Mr Mark Lemkey comments: “The show was an unprecedented success for us. We generated a significant amount of very good leads for the PH-Cleantec system and the OMF1000 at MACH. The machine cleaning unit was a huge hit for us, as nobody at MACH had seen anything like it before. Besides generating a high number of leads, we also had a lot of show visitors taking our brochures away. Hopefully this will lead to even more interest in the months to come and open doors for our products that could not all be shown at MACH, such as our extended range of mist and fume control equipment and our downdraught filter benches.
