ITC announces new chamfer tool

Story added 20 August 2009.

Following a close collaboration with customers, ITC - a leading provider of CNC tooling solutions for the precision engineering industry - is to extend its range of 4071 Cyber Series of chamfer tools.

It is hoped that ITC will now be able to meet the "wide spectrum" of end-user applications, with the series now able to cut at inclusive angles including 60, 82 and 90 degrees as standard.

Difficult CNC machining applications can be met with the coated cutter in the 4071 series and the four-flute solid carbide tool is already made out of "ultra tough micro grain substrate" capable of great life expectancy and performance levels.

ITC continued: "With four teeth in a staggered design, the 4071 enhances cutter performance and surface finish to deliver smooth cutting and long tool life on the hardest of materials."

A round tool specialist by trade, ITC also operates a CADCAM facility which uses CNC lathes and turning machines to create the precision tools needed for the market.
