ITC extends line due to popular demand
Story added 03 July 2009.
A Tamworth-based manufacturer has extended its line of fluted end mills following the extreme popularity of its 3041 Cyber Series.
ITC announced that it will now allow the incorporation of a radius on all diameter sizes, allowing for a better coverage of cutting with aluminium and soft non-ferrous materials.
The organisation claimed that its tooling options have made a "significant impact" on the industry since it introduced them several months ago.
It continued: "The straight shank, right-hand cut series with its 55-degree right-hand helix is well-suited to the rapid removal of 'soft' material and its swarf from the work area.
"Designed to deliver remarkable performance on soft materials, it is the special flute geometry that contributes to this excellent swarf clearance."
The new 3041 Cyber Series with radius options is now available in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm diameters with a choice of 0.5mm or 1mm radius.
Furthermore, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm and 20mm diameter cutters are available in 0.5mm increments from 0.5mm to 2mm.
ITC prides itself on fast responses to demands and holds over 100,000 high-speed steel and solid carbide tools on the shelf for immediate dispatch.
