Middle East machine tool industry 'provides huge opportunities'

Machine tool dealers could see an increasing number of opportunities in the Middle East as the machining centres industry there continues to grow.

According to MidTech Engineering Solutions, a machine tool dealers, the manufacturing zones being developed will demand skilled manpower for manufacturing activities.

The firm's general manager G K Menon says the key success factor will be the quality of service from machining centres and machine tool dealers.

He comments: "The manufacturing industry has just started growing with new investments and products being made for domestic consumption and exports."

Mr Menon also states that machine tools are the "mother machines" in the manufacturing industry and needed for producing parts for all products.

The industry can create a lot of job opportunities, he adds.

Chinese demand for machine tools is also set to increase, it was reported this week.

The market will grow by 13 per cent annually through to 2012, Reportlinker.com predicted.
