Mills training academy signs aerospace learning deal

Mills CNC's 360 Training Academy has announced a partnership agreement with the Coventry & Warwickshire Aerospace Forum (CWAF)

The organisation is linked to the Midlands Aerospace Alliance and aims to deliver Fanuc CNC programming training courses to its members and will see CWAF member companies infill onto existing 360 CNC programmer training courses over a 12-month spell.

Six CWAF member companies will enlist on the training academy's courses and receive ten days training, learning anything from basic two-axis CNC lathes to more complex and sophisticated Fanuc multi-axis turning centres, all the way up to nine-axis machines.

The decision by CWAF to work with Mills CNC's 360 Training Academy is "fantastic news and a real positive endorsement", according to 360 Training Academy Manager Jeff Hart.

Mills CNC opened the facility for business in September 2009.

Alongside Fanuc CNC programmer training, the workshop also operates schemes for Heidenhain CNC machining products and specialist machine tool maintenance courses.

Mills, which was created 27 years ago, is the exclusive distributor of Doosan machine tools in the UK and Ireland.
