New suite of CNC lathe programming software launched

Story added 26 November 2008.

A new suite of software capable of programming CNC mills, CNC lathes, WireEDM and turn mill centres has been launched.

PartMarker, which is a division of US firm Delcam, revealed its newest incarnation of its programming software, dubbed PartMaker Version 9.

It claimed this is the most productive development of the suite so far.

PartMaker's president Hanan Fishman said the software offers an enhanced user interface.

This and other developments, he noted, "will make PartMaker users even more productive in programming their CNC equipment, while offering new users and even easier to learn, more capable CNC programming platform".

In fact, some users will be able to use the software to reduce their programming by as much as 50 per cent, Mr Fishman added.

Back in August, Partmaker stated that the development has been designed to ensure that customers using previous incarnations of the software will not require any additional training in order to get up to speed on the new software.
