Power Machinery announces Tornos MultiAlpha 8x20

Tornos, a major Swiss-based producer of CNC milling machines, has announced that it is now expanding to the Antipodes with its MultiAlpha technology.

Represented by Power Machinery in Australia, Tornos will be providing its MultiAlpha 8x20 multi-spindle turning machine to the public, delivering a high-precision bar-turning unit for complex work pieces which desire the integration of a thread-whirling process.

The company explained that bar-turners respond quicker with thread whirling as it uses a large production run, which requires the set-up of only one multi-spindle machine instead of several single-spindle options.

Furthermore, the thread-whirling unit associated with the precision engineering option never leaves the machining area and as a result, the temperature of the material remains balanced and ensures more consistency in the quality of the finished product.

Tornos is located in a number of countries around the globe such as the US, China and France, with the UK offices based in Coalville, Leicestershire.
