Schunk announces tool presetting and measuring device

Schunk has announced that its new TRISet optical tool presetting and measuring device allows organisations to check and adjust tools with ease before using them.

According to the firm, a special bonus included with the system is that it has an integrated TRIBOS clamping device, which allows tools to be clamped in a matter of seconds, in turn allowing for clamping, measuring and adjusting the CNC machine without any downtime.

The company continued: "Schunk TRISet increases productivity because the use of preset tools helps to increase machine-running times and prevents rejects."

It added that it also offers the option to adjust tools using measurement programs for certain tasks while also checking the quality of the cutting edge before the milling machine or CNC lathe uses them.

Based in Newport Pagnell, Schunk Intec also operates in over 50 other countries, producing its range of products in five manufacturing facilities based in Germany, the US and China.
