Titanium CNC machining efficiency seminars planned

CNC machining efficiency tips will be offered to engineers at the latest round of seminars from NCMT.

Following a successful roadshow by the company, which attracted over 150 engineers at six different venues in the UK during March and April, another set of lectures of a similar theme have been planned and are currently in the development stages.

The new workshops will be open to those working in precision engineering industries such as the aerospace, medical and power generation sectors and will take the form of two one-day seminars at the NCMT headquarters in Thames Ditton, Surrey.

Techniques will be demonstrated at the company's Makino a81 horizontal machining centre and will show how to maximise metal removal rates when machining titanium, with other materials, tooling, software and third-party suppliers also demonstrating.

NCMT is a major supplier of Far Eastern technology and is the sole sales and service agent for CNC machine tools by Makino and Okuma, while also providing the UK market with other products from BIG Daishowa.
