Ward Hi-Tech Confidence Package is 'great success'

Three Hwacheon turning centres and equipment have been ordered under the Ward Hi-Tech Confidence Package, highlighting the good deal buyers are getting under the initiative, according to the company.

Mike Burke, the UK sales manager for Ward Hi-Tech, explained that the purchasing scheme allows the buyer to purchase CNC lathes or machining centres while giving them the option to return them after a minimum of 12 months, giving a get-out clause should the recession endanger a business' health.

The most recent Hwacheon Cutex 200 offerings were invested in by a northern aerospace contractor which needed additional capacity to achieve solid results for precision barfed aluminium and stainless steel components.

Mr Burke explained: "Our customer was guaranteed at least ten months work for the lathes but without assurances of a further extension to the contract, was unsure whether to commit to a substantial financial investment, particular in the current economic climate."

Ward Hi-Tech specialises in five-axis machines, double-column systems and a wide array of turning centres from manufacturers such as Dah Lih, HNK and Kiheung.
