XYZ Sell 15 Machine Tools at Open House

Story added 19 September 2011.

Visitors to the very first open house at WNT (UK)’s new showroom and technical centre were duly impressed by what they saw, both in terms of cutting tool demonstrations and the facilities on-hand.

The two-day event saw close to 100 visitors travelling to Sheffield from across the country to see demonstrations of WNT’s latest cutting tools in the recently opened showroom. In conjunction with machine tool partner, XYZ Machine Tools, WNT (UK) also reported brisk business with 15 machines being sold, all equipped with full tooling packages from WNT. In addition, WNT also saw good interest in its latest cutting tool products with several kits of its SCR Monstermill being sold during the two day event.

“The success of this, our first open house, is extremely encouraging with customers being very complimentary about the facility we have created here in Sheffield and the potential it has to help them get more from their cutting tools. The investment we have made here is proving to be fully justified thanks to the positive response and the level of new business that as arrived as a result of this event,” says Tony Pennington, Managing Director, WNT (UK).

The new showroom is a £150,000 investment (excluding machine tools) for WNT (UK) and will be used to host open houses, and customer demonstrations, which can be undertaken five days a week. “This is a first for the WNT Group and the team here in the UK are proud to be pioneering this development. In addition to the facility being used by customers it will also play host to technical meetings attended by our colleagues from across Europe,” says Tony Pennington.
