MACH 2010 at the NEC in Birmingham will provide two important opportunities for small turned parts CNC precision machining company Unicut Precision. Based within the BTMA Pavilion in Hall 5, Unicut will be demonstrating its ‘one-hit’ single cycle CNC machining and subassembly capability based on a production shop solely equipped with 21 Citizen CNC sliding head turn-mill centres with capacity up to 32 mm dia and three Miyano multi-axis fixed head CNC turning centres with a capacity up to 64 mm dia.
According to Managing Director Jason Nicholson, this year has kicked-off with the winning of important orders and long term contracts largely brought about from the ability to produce components at the highest level of efficiency from a policy of continuous investment where machines should never be older than five years.
He said: “We have just disposed of three machines that have come of age and so will use the stand over the week as the ideal platform to check out the latest developments and hope to place orders at the show for machines, inspection, software and tooling.”
The Unicut stand within the Pavilion, which will provide the best opportunity to talk to subcontract machinists and is open throughout the five days of the show, will give visitors the chance to prove themselves in a ‘one-hit’ putting challenge. They will also be able to view one of the latest Citizen sliding head machines in action and gain an appreciation of the installed OGP Smartscope non-contact, one-hit measuring technology employed at the Welwyn Garden City factory.
Said joint Managing Director Charles Kenny: “Both Citizen and Miyano Machinery and OGP non-contact measurement have contributed so much to the high levels of quality and productivity we achieve in our round-the-clock production.”
