GibbsCAM certified again for CNC software

Story added 20 May 2009.

Gibbs and Associates, the team behind GibbsCAM software for CNC machine tools, has announced that it has been certified for another year by a leading test and analysis organisation.

GibbsCAM 2009, the firm's latest release for precision engineering companies, has been accepted for Autodesk Inventor 2010 software under the Autodesk Inventor Certified Applications Program, which assesses implementation guidelines.

Following stringent tests relating to robustness, quality and interoperability with Autodesk Inventor software, GibbsCAM was again given the accolade, something which the founder and president of Gibbs said would give his customers "great confidence".

Bill Gibbs said: "Our joint customers can continue to easily and quickly machine parts from their Autodesk Inventor designs but now using the powerful additions we have introduced in GibbsCAM 2009."

GibbsCAM is a major partner of the Mazak Corporation, a leading producer of CNC machining systems, stating last month that it will continue to partner the firm at upcoming trade shows.
