Machine tool dealers breaks sales barrier

Warwickshire machine tool dealers Mills Manufacturing Technology has reported sales of Doosan CNC machine tools of more than 300 units.

The figure tops expectations and equates to £30 million in sales.

David Andrew, the firm's sales and marketing director, describes sales performance this year as "tremendous".

"To have hit the 300 mark with a good two months to spare demonstrates the continuing high demand for Doosan machine tool technology in the UK," he comments.

It also demonstrates that the machine tool dealers is on track for another record year, Mr Andrew adds.

As well as strong growth in the lathes and turning centres business, Mills has also seen increased demand for milling machines.

Mr Andrew reveals that a number of new machine tools will be introduced for machining centres next year.

Located in Royal Leamington Spa, Mills supply CNC machining tools and manufacturing solutions in the UK.

The firm was established more than 35 years ago and has installed around 3,500 CNC machine tools.
