New TSK Collet Chuck more accurate than ER Collets

Currently developing new products at a phenomenal rate to meet the increasing demands of the end user, TaeguTec is now adding to its range of new product offerings with its new TSK Collet Chuck. The new TSK Collet Chuck’s have been designed specifically for precision machining and are considerably more accurate than existing ER collet chuck systems.

The new TSK Collet Chuck has been designed with a 4 degree collet taper, which is different to the existing 8 degree tapers in current ER collets. This innovation offers a wider clamping area than current ER collet chucks and therefore improves accuracy.

The wider clamping area increases the clamping forces and thus increases precision and rigidity. The increased clamping forces improve the surface finishes and accuracy, which makes it ideal for high accuracy applications such as reaming. With a slim design, the TSK also minimises interruption and possible interference between the cutting tool and the workpiece making it the ideal solution for high speed machining and deep pocket machining. The TSK Collet Chucks works in conjunction with a specialist implement that enables end users to easily remove the collet from the machine tool.

TaeguTec has developed the exciting new TSK series with a collet range accommodating tool shanks from 1 to 25mm diameter. The collets have been developed for BT, HSK and DIN shank types. The new TSK Collet Chucks are suitable for high speed machining, drilling and reaming processes that demand the utmost of precision, surface finishes and rigidity.
