Delcam releases highlights video from MACH 2014

Added to MTDCNC by AUTODESK on 09 May 2014

Delcam has added a highlights video from the recent MACH exhibition held in Birmingham to its unique online TV channel, Delcam.TV.  The video shows Delcam software driving equipment from machine-tool manufacturers CMS Industries, Roeders, and XYZ Machine Tools, together with interviews with company representatives on their partnerships with Delcam.  To view the video, go to www.delcam.tv/MACH2014

The exhibition provided an excellent platform for Delcam to collect footage of new machines in action and to demonstrate how the company’s range of software enables these machines to operate at their peak efficiency.  “Companies that are investing in the latest machine tools are often concerned that their CAM software may not have kept up with any advanced technology incorporated in the new models,” explained Delcam’s Marketing Manager, Peter Dickin.  “As the world’s largest CAM specialist, Delcam has strong relationships with most of the leading machine tool suppliers.  This enables us to begin working on updates to our post-processors while new designs are still in development.  As a result, we are able to support these new machines as soon as they are delivered to customers.”

“Similarly, companies looking to invest in CAM software are often worried whether the toolpaths generated will work as well on the machine tool as they do on the computer,” added Mr. Dickin.  “The latest examples in the video provide more evidence of the high performance that Delcam software can produce on a range of different machines.”

Delcam’s close relationship with machine tool suppliers contributed to its success at MACH.  “We had many visitors on our stand that had received recommendations from our machine tool and cutting tool partners at the show,” said Mr. Dickin.  “We also benefited from having the biggest stand of any CADCAM company at the exhibition, which reinforced our strong position in the UK market.”

As well as taking many orders at the exhibition, Delcam engineers carried out demonstrations to more than 250 companies that were looking to invest in more powerful CADCAM software.

Another highlight of Delcam’s extremely successful week at MACH was the award for Best CADCAM or Control System for its Vortex high-efficiency area-clearance strategy at the MWP Awards held during the exhibition.
