Floyd rolls out new technologies at MACH 2014

Added to MTDCNC by Floyd Automatic Tooling Ltd on 17 April 2014

Floyd Automatic Tooling Ltd believed that its line-up of new products on show at MACH would yield new business; however, the show exceeded all the company's expectations.

Some of the new product lines on show at MACH included new cutting tool developments such as the ALESA Twist Coolex, the Schwanog form tools, the new MASTER-Pro patented collets and guide bushes from ECS Swisscollet and the company's HP through coolant solutions. With all these ranges supported by technical staff from Europe, Floyd utilised this expertise to fully deliver the benefits of the ranges to the UK marketplace.

Floyd was delighted with the interest in the capabilities and quality of the new Swiss manufactured Alesa Nutex saw program, but they equally commented on the level of interest in the high pressure coolant interface solutions offered by Floyd. For sliding head users, Floyd Automatic highlighted the capabilities and diversity of its range with a variety of products being demonstrated on sliding head machines at the show.

Commenting upon the success of the event, Floyd Automatic Tooling Managing Director, Mr Richard Floyd says: 'The enquiry level was remarkable for us; a lot of the interest came from a combination of existing customers keen to investigate our new product lines and new customers looking for full line tooling packages. Furthermore, we also fed off the success of the sliding head lathe manufacturers. The leading manufacturers had extremely successful shows with a lot of machine tool sales to new customers. With these subcontract manufacturers taking their first step into the sliding head turning market, the OEMs were directing them to our stand as the 'one stop' shop for tooling up the machines. This not only highlights the confidence the OEMs have in us as a cutting tool supplier, it also demonstrates the quality and diversity of our product lines.'
