Quickgrind Expands Team Some More!

As part of its strategy to cultivate a larger customer base in the UK, Tewkesbury based Quickgrind has employed Sean Luck and Graeme Hogg as Business Development Managers. Both appointments are vastly experienced engineers that will underpin Quickgrind’s ambitions to grow market share in the UK.

With over 35 years manufacturing experience, Sean will bring a wealth of experience to his role. Sean has spent much of his career in managerial roles with machine tool manufacturers, cultivating relationships with OEM’s and subcontractors alike. Likewise, Graeme started his career in the mid-seventies as a CNC turner/miller when long hair, side-burns and bell-bottoms were the in-fashion. Since the early 1990’s Graeme has worked as a technical sales engineer and more recently in sales management roles within a cutting tool environment. With over 20 years tooling specific experience, this certainly puts Graeme in the realms of ‘cutting tool expert’.

Commenting upon the company’s market position and the appointment of Sean Luck and Graeme Hogg; Quickgrind’s Managing Director, Mr Ross Howell says: “Quickgrind is a truly unique company in the cutting tool industry. Until now, almost 80% of our turnover has been generated from overseas sales. As a company, we are instigating a paradigm shift in milling technology with our new end mill developments. Many of our new products are ideal for the aerospace, motorsport and power generation segments, which are all enjoying growth in the UK. Employing both Sean and Graeme and turning our focus to generating business in our home market is testament to the current UK manufacturing renaissance.”

“Having such vast experience join our team will be a real asset to Quickgrind. Sean has worked with some of the leading machine tool and cutting tool manufacturers in a wide variety of roles and this flexibility and expertise will be invaluable as we move forward. Likewise, the specific expertise of Graeme in our target sectors will be a huge asset. We are excited to have Sean and Graeme join the team and everyone at Quickgrind is looking forward to seeing these guys on-board and getting around the industry.”
