Raynor Tools save us 60% on our solid carbide tooling

Raynor Tools save us 60% on our solid carbide tooling

Founded in 1981, Raynor Tools are specialists in new tool manufacture and CNC regrinding, working with clients across the East and West Midlands.

Raynor Tools have a lot of repeat business and regularly visit clients to collect worn tools and return tools that have been restored.

Their expertise in recovering and refurbishing tools that may have otherwise been considered too damaged or worn for use ensures great savings for their customers.

An additional strand to the business and one that is rapidly increasing is the production of new cutting tools to customer specifications.

One company who has benefited from the services Raynor Tools provide is Cherox Engineering, a precision engineering company based in Droitwich, Worcestershire.

Cherox Engineering specialise in precision turning and milling for a variety of sectors including aerospace, mining and power generation.

Managing Director, John Wild says &ldquoRaynor Tool Services look after our tool regrinding and re-coating requirements which saves us a massive percentage against the cost of a new tool.

We like to buy tooling of good quality and then use Raynor to keep those tools in a condition that&rsquos as good as new. We buy solid carbide drills from a national distributor of cutting tools and we believe that the drills perform better than new after a regrind and re-coat from Raynor.&rdquo

John Wild goes on to say &ldquoNot only have we seen considerable cost savings in the regrinding services provided by Raynor Tools, they have also manufactured specialised tooling for us which has saved us money further by optimising our processes.

The services offered by Raynor Tools are best in class allowing considerable cost saving opportunities not to mention the obvious benefits to the environment.
