Commitment to customer services fuels growth at WNT (UK)

Added to MTDCNC by WNT (UK) Ltd on 08 December 2014

Already renowned for its industry-leading levels of customer service, WNT (UK) is set to raise the bar yet again with a growth strategy that will see another level of technical support added with the recruitment of a team of applications sales engineers.

These field-based engineers will back up WNT’s existing team of 21 technical sales engineers, providing dedicated applications and project support service to customers. This will involve looking at individual components and providing engineering expertise to achieve the optimum metalcutting solution. This in turn will increase efficiencies through reduced cycle times and manufacturing costs for customers. Due to the ongoing growth in business these new applications engineers will add valuable resource to our existing technical sales team and also bring another dimension to the service that WNT is able to provide for customers. As we move into this new phase of our growth strategy applications support will form a vital component in our quest to remain at the forefront of customer support in the cutting tool sector, says Tony Pennington, Managing Director, WNT (UK).

Already the UK’s leading supplier of cutting tools and associated equipment to the UK’s small to medium sized manufacturing businesses, this move to increase applications support will create opportunities for WNT (UK) to support the needs of larger manufacturing companies, while continuing to provide the levels of service that existing customers have become accustomed to.

The search for the first four applications sales engineers is about to start and WNT is looking for recruits to cover the south, midlands and north of England, along with one covering Scotland and Ireland, ideally based in Dublin.  As with WNT’s existing technical sales engineers these new recruits need to be highly experienced with a hands-on CNC metalcutting production engineering background, with the confidence to deal with intricate machining projects and provide sound advice to customers. “This is the start of an exciting new phase in the development of WNT (UK). By adding this additional level of support we will be able to work closer with customers and develop machining processes with them that will help them to maximise their productivity and make considerable savings,” says Tony Pennington.   Anyone who would like to be considered for one of these positions should contact Tony Pennington with a brief outline of their experience at Tony.Pennington@wnt.com
