WNT celebrates 25 years of market leading service
The latest edition of WNT&rsquos tooling catalogue celebrates the company&rsquos 25 years of providing the ultimate in customer service, combined with one of the largest ranges of high quality cutting tools and ancillary equipment.
A common feature on the shop floor across the UK, WNT&rsquos catalogue has been enhanced for 2012/13 making its 2000+ pages, containing over 45,000 items, more user-friendly. The changes allow customers to quickly identify the tools suitable for their work, and to highlight ideal cutting data to achieve optimum productivity. An example of this is the new charts for the calculation of correct feeds and chip thickness when milling. Users can now use a simple cross reference to find the ideal feed rate for a given depth of cut.
New products are indicated at the front of the 19 sections within the catalogue, each of these sections being specific to a particular machining discipline, such as solid carbide milling. In the case of indexable tools the tool nomenclature is clearly explained, along with detailed descriptions of each specific chipbreaker and grade of carbide again to make ion of the right tool for the job as simple and as quick as possible. &ldquoThe WNT catalogue is seen as a very useful resource by our customers and the changes that we have made will only serve to enhance the role it plays in the day-to-day activities of many of our customers,&rdquo says Tony Pennington, Managing Director, WNT (UK). &ldquoIt is just as important to the success of our business as our team of technical sales engineers, or our ability to guarantee next-day deliveries. But combined they present a powerful message that WNT (UK) is working hard to maintain its reputation of delivering excellent products and customer service.&rdquo
As WNT enters its second quarter century it is determined to continue to develop its unique approach to the sales and support of technical cutting tools to its customer base of small and medium sized manufacturing businesses. Part of this is a major investment at its logistics centre in Kempten, Germany, which will ensure that the capacity is there to meet expected growth in business and maintain its service level for many years to come.
