Seco Tools UK’s ever popular ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ advanced manufacturing best-practice event will take place at the company’s Technology Centre in Alcester, on the 10th and 11th of October.

With 50+ exhibitors, nine leading-edge seminars and a number of innovative and challenging machining demonstrations occurring over the two days - the 2017 event is certainly bigger (and promises to be even better) than in previous years.

‘Inspiration through Innovation’ is firmly established as the ‘go-to’ event for manufacturers looking to find out more about the latest innovative technology solutions in the market.

This year is no exception, and with more exhibitors attending…more seminars taking place…and more machining demonstrations planned over the two days - the 2017 event looks set to eclipse previous years’ in terms of impact and visitor numbers.

Event highlights

• Machining Demonstrations

At the 2017 event a number of innovative and challenging machining demonstrations will take place. Designed and developed by Seco in conjunction with selected Technical Partners, each demonstration highlights the performance benefits and synergies that result from adopting collaborative approaches to solving specific machining issues.

• Leading-edge Seminars

There are nine leading-edge seminars planned over the two day event - each one delivered by a recognised Industry-expert and each focused on a relevant manufacturing and/or machining issue.

Individual seminars include:

  • The best-practice machining of different materials (i.e. Stainless Steels, Nickel-based Alloys, Titanium, Carbon Fibre Composites etc.);
  • Additive Manufacturing…its use, application and potential;
  • Augmented Reality and its use in monitoring machining processes.

• 50+ Exhibitors

With over 50 different Technical Partners attending the event, representing the very best in machine tool, work-holding, CAD/CAM, cutting fluid and measurement and inspection technologies…as well as a number of market-leading training organisations, and trade and industry associations and advisory bodies - there is definitely something for everyone at the 2017 event.

Explains Mike Fleming, Seco Tools UK’s Strategic Marketing, Products and Services Manager:

“The popularity of ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ is self-evident and shows no sign of abating. At the event this year there are 20% more exhibitors attending than in 2016, and a full programme of seminars and machining demonstrations will, I’m confident, help pull in the crowds.”

Seco is also exhibiting its latest products (many of which are also being used in the machining demonstrations), and a range of its commercial and technical consultancy services at the event in specially-designated Product- and Business-Solutions Zones.

Summary

‘Inspiration through Innovation’ is very much focused on the future and is aimed at precision component manufacturers looking to get out more from their manufacturing processes, systems…and people.

The emphasis throughout reflects Seco’s ethos that collaborative approaches to problem-solving and sharing best practice with customers deliver truly inspirational and innovative solutions.

Concludes Mike Fleming:

“‘Inspiration through Innovation’ provides the opportunity for manufacturers to ‘connect to and connect with’ a range of technology providers and specialists”.

The event is free to visitors, and doors open on both days at 9.00am – closing at 7.30pm on the 10th October and 5.00pm on the 11th October.
