MTDCNC visit Advance Manufacturing, are you going?
An event that has been planned for a while, didn't disappoint. Being held at the NEC in Birmingham this week from Tuesday through to Thursday both Advance Manufacturing and Subcon 2013 look to be attracting quality visitors for good reason.
Taking time out from a busy schedule MTDCNC hit the road and spent the best part of the day touring a small but impactual and informative show.
Having spent many years exhibiting at Machine Tool shows, our team was fairly excited about the prospect of seeing new businesses, witnessing new technologies and listening to educational seminars, all of which were there in abundance.
What was really evident was the importance Subcontract Engineers had placed on the Subcon show, lots of businesses that rarely invest in traditional forms of marketing seemed to be happy to dig deep and show off their skills/techniques and knowhow with impressive and colourful stands.
It was also pleasing to see big businesses not dismissing the event. Mazak were there exhibiting a large multi axis turning centre, XYZ machine tools had three machines on show and Dugard and Ward Hi Tech followed their success at Southern Manufacturing with sizeable stand space. In addition companies such as ITC and WNT were in attendance with technicians and sales staff on hand to propose effective cutting tool solutions.
In all a good show, we'll be back on Thursday to interview a few of the Subcontract engineering companies. If you get a spare few hours in amongst your busy working schedule, jump in the car and make your way to the NEC.
