Advanced Engineering 2014 demonstrates why its a 'Must Attend' event

Added to MTDCNC by MTDCNC on 13 November 2014

Just a few years ago the Advanced Engineering Exhibition platform was a fledgling event that was something we would all attend 'if we had the time' and opportunity. However, the 2014 show that has just taken place at the NEC proved why it has become such a success and a 'must attend' show for manufacturers in the key growth industries.

Such is its growth that in 2013 the show boasted over 600 exhibitors, in 2014 that number has swelled to over 700. Considered as one of the UK's fastest growing and largest annual events for the advanced engineering communities, the 2 day festival of technology once again demonstrated why its such a rapidly growing success.

The platform of the event with its 5-show platform in one exhibition hall definitely has something for everyone in the manufacturing sector. This year, the five sectors included Aero Engineering, Composite Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Auto Electronics and Performance Metals Engineering. For visitors that aren't imbued in these sectors, the show is still packed with exhibitors that have something for every sector.

For those that make their everyday bread and butter from these sectors, the Advanced Engineering platform had 6 dedicated auditoriums around the hall to deliver presentations that were remarkably insightful and interesting for visitors. The six auditorium set-up meant that over 240 presentations from industry experts were packed into the two-day event. With presentations from industry experts from the UK and overseas that touched on just about every element of the industry, visitors left enlightened  with insightful information.

Commenting upon the show, MTD's Paul Jones said: 'Our MTD team were at the show for the full two days gathering views from exhibitors and visitors alike and the feedback was exceptional. So many exhibitors found the show a great opportunity to develop business leads and nurture relationships that are fruitful for the whole manufacturing sector. With such a broad range of products and services on offer, just about everyone left the show with something to take back to the office or shop-floor that would improve their processes and the day-to-day running of their businesses. What also proved a striking note was the quality of visitors. Exhibitors were delighted with the interest and enquiry levels from OEM and Tier 1 companies that so often prove difficult to access.'
