ETG set to bring latest technology to the UK after EMO debut

ETG were well represented at the recent EMO Show in Hannover where there was significant interest in the new technology being showcased by its partners.

The six-strong team were present on the Chiron, Hardinge Bridgeport, Nakamura-Tome, Handtmann, Stama, Quaser and Pietro Carnaghi stands, chatting to existing and potential clients.

There was an increase in the number of visitors to the metalworking world’s premier event and they were able to see first-hand a number of machines that will shortly be arriving in the UK.

This included Quaser’s MF400U Cell with state-of-the-art pallet pool system and its MV134, a new 5-axis machine that provides the latest in precision engineering.

Graeme Thomas, Head of Key Accounts at ETG, commented: “There was a real sense of optimism at the event and, over the course of the six days, we had the opportunity to meet a significant number of clients and discuss current and future opportunities.

“We also had the chance to look at some of the new technology we will shortly be bringing to the UK, with the Nakamura-Tome WY-150 – configured with the fastest high-speed gantry unit in the world – proving extremely popular.

“Industry is going to really embrace this technology and I’m sure there’ll be a waiting list on some of the machines we’ve seen in Hannover.”

In addition to the daily meetings, ETG staff also attended a number of evening functions, as well as a special dealer event held by Nakamura-Tome.
