Hurco to feature 5 axis milling and turning at North East

Added to MTDCNC by Hurco Europe Ltd on 26 April 2015

Hurco will demonstrate its commitment to the North East by emphasising the company’s sales, service and support centred in County Durham. Local sales engineer, Steve Turner, is based near Billingham and the most recently appointed service engineer, David Robinson, is located close to Consett.

Managing director David Waghorn commented, 'We see Manufacturing & Engineering North East as an ideal opportunity to highlight our presence in the region and the back-up we are able to offer customers.'

Two machines will be on show from the company’s latest product range, featuring high speed, top precision and low power consumption. A compact VM10Ui machining centre will be representative of the extensive range of 5-axis machining centres offered, which includes both trunnion and B-axis models, and there will also be a TM6i CNC turning centre on the stand. Both machines are powered by Hurco WinMax controls, offering simple, easy-to-use conversational programming and powerful ISNC capability for off-line work.

The two machines are being offered as ex-demonstration models and will be available for delivery immediately after the exhibition.

The show will also provide an opportunity to see the latest software developments, such as Ultimotion for high-speed profiling and Adaptipath for controlling cutter engagement to improve cycle times and wear characteristics when machining pockets.
