INTEGREX i-200 from Mazak at Autosport Engineering 2013

INTEGREX i-200 from Mazak at Autosport Engineering 2013

Added to MTDCNC by Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd on 21 December 2012

Yamazaki Mazak is to bring its INTEGREX i-200 to Autosport Engineering 2013 with live cutting demonstrations on the stand throughout the show.

Mazak has a long history of supplying machines to the autosport engineering sector, most notably its long standing relationship with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes as the Formula One team’s Official Supplier of CNC machine tools.  There are currently 25 Mazak machines in operation at the McLaren Technology Centre in Surrey.

The INTEGREX i-200 is a full 5-axis multi-tasking machine that is equipped with a large machining area (615 mm in the X-axis and 250 mm in the Y-axis) and a second spindle which makes it truly capable of Done-In-One machining.

The i-200 is a high productivity machine with both its main and second spindles capable of 5,000 rpm and its milling spindle capable of 12,000 rpm.  In addition, high accuracy is guaranteed by its high rigidity construction; linear roller guides; heat countermeasures on the main and milling spindle; active vibration control and an intelligent thermal shield which automatically compensates for room temperature changes.

The i-200 is also equipped with a number of ergonomic features, including a standard 36-tool magazine designed for efficient set-up, a large window allowing easy monitoring of the workpiece by the operator and easy workpiece loading and unloading.

Richard Smith, Managing Director UK & Ireland Sales Division, for Mazak commented:  “The INTEGREX i-200 is an exceptional machine, ideal for use in the autosport and automotive sectors, for small batch and prototype work through to volume production.  Its large machining envelope and range of movement ensures that a wide range of automotive components can be machined quickly and effectively.”

He continued:  “The i-series has proved to be highly successful in the UK market and across Europe since its launch and we are confident that visitors to Autosport Engineering 2013 will appreciate its capabilities during the live cutting demonstrations.”
