LMT Is Fit For MACH With Shrink Fit Offer

Added to MTDCNC by LMT UK Ltd on 29 February 2016

MACH 2016 will give visitors to the LMT UK stand an opportunity to see a host of new cutting tool technologies that will be demonstrated live on the stand by a Mazak TurnSmart 250M turning centre. The compact turning centre will be conducting rough turning, profiling, milling and internal and external threading with LMT's latest tooling innovations, which will be complemented by LMT's new Bilz ISG1000 Shrink fit toolholder.

On stand 5686 in Hall 5, a major attraction will be the new Bilz ISG1000 shrink fit toolholder system.  Suitable for tools from 3 to 16mm diameter, LMT is giving customers a limited period promotion to buy the Bilz ISG1000 along with the adaptor to suit your machine spindle and also three toolholders. You can get all this for the attractive price of just £1995. Alongside the introductory offer will be the industry leading ISG3410WK-WS shrink fit machine. This top of the range 'Professional' free-standing system for diameters from 3 to 50mm is fully automatic with a chip reader, liquid cooling and drying. Essentially, the ISG3410WK-WS makes your shrink fit processes extremely fast, efficient, precise and safe.

On the turning centre, LMT UK's technical engineers will be introducing show visitors to a host of new tools that will include the ingenious new DHC (different helix cutter) range of solid carbide end mills. LMT engineers have optimised its milling line to generate extremely smooth-running with astounding material removal rates and unparalleled surface finishes. Suited to rough machining as well as finishing, LMT's DHC premium solid carbide end mill delivers significantly greater performance credit to its sequential cutting edges with different helix angles. The combination of an innovative new geometry and a high-performance PVD coating ensures long tool life and excellent chip removal.

As a company that is envied for the success of its threading products, part of the 'live-cutting' demo part will encompass internal and external threading. For the internal threading application, the Birmingham company will be drawing show visitors' attention to the HPF (High Performance Forming) series of taps. With interchangeable threading heads, the end user can reduce set-up times, tooling costs and consequent inventory. However, it is the extensive range of thread forms, sizes and insert grades that give the customer absolute flexibility. With a carbide head on a steel shank, the HPC range of flute-less taps add astounding productivity and tool life to its list of benefits.

To complement the internal threading tools, LMT will be introducing its enhanced range of EVOLine external thread rolling tools. Compared to traditional threading methods, the EVOLine of thread rolls provide the highest level of reliability and durability. The axial rolling head incorporates a new modular design with a shank adaptor that improves concentricity levels and supports the transmission of the high torque levels required. What this means for the end user is that threading operations can now be conducted up to 8-10 times faster than conventional threading tools whilst guaranteeing process stability. Furthermore, the modular shank design makes the EVOLine suitable for a wide variety of machine tools with its simple adaptor system. To ensure precision levels are beyond that of alternate systems, the EVOLine has a patented fine adjustment mechanism that sets the standard for precision and repeatability.

As well as the exciting shrink fit offer and the innovative tools that will be conducting a live demo on the Mazak turning centre, LMT UK engineers will be on hand to present a complete line-up of drilling, turning, milling and threading products. The highly skilled engineers will also be keen to discuss any technical issues you may have with your existing components and cutting tools.
