MACH 2016 does a great turn for Unicut

MACH exhibitions have always proven fruitful events for Unicut Precision with its largest three long term customers arriving as the result of a MACH show. Early indications have already shown that the 2016 event is set to yield even better returns than previous shows.

Discussing the success of MACH 2016, Unicut Precision's Marketing Manager, Zoe Nicholson says: "We have built an enviable reputation as the benchmark in the subcontract turned parts sector and at MACH, we actually had show visitors travelling to MACH just to see us. Furthermore, we had a lot of show visitors bringing drawings to us and asking if we could produce specific parts in set quantity levels to target deadlines. These people were serious buyers that came to MACH just to see Unicut."

As the UK's leading subcontract manufacturer of precision turned parts, Welwyn Garden City based Unicut Precision emphasised its recent investment in seven machine tools in the last 12 months and why this factor makes Unicut, a chosen 'supply partner' for globally renowned OEMs. Unicut Precision was keen to mention the £750,000 spend on new machine tools in 2015 that fills its workshop with cutting edge technology. However, the company's reputation preceded it, and Unicut was sought-out by a multitude of buyers of subcontract services at the show.

As Zoe Nicholson continues: "A few years ago, we won a major long term contract with a globally recognised Tier 1 manufacturer of hydraulic components. To achieve this, we had to invest over £1m in a dedicated production cell and bespoke factory unit. This commitment and the continued cost down strategy has paid dividends. The kudos of this contract and word-of mouth regarding our unparalleled reputation is what actually brought similar buyers to our stand at MACH 2016. We are confident we can turn these Tier 1 buyers into customers in the near future."

Commenting upon the recent investment levels and why this would be appealing, Zoe continues: "We have invested in a 'focus factory' to allow us to become a 'supply partner' to major manufacturers across all industry sectors. This dedication to long term projects is backed by an impressive storage and goods-out facility whereby parts can be booked into stock, ready for shipping as per the customer's delivery requirements. This type of investment has set Unicut apart from its peers and it is the reason that we can provide a 'supply partner' service to OEM's and Tier 1 companies. At MACH, the word had spread and these companies were keen to seek us out."
