Mills books biggest stand at MACH 2014

Mills CNC, the exclusive distributor of Doosan machine tools in the UK and Ireland, has confirmed its market-leader status in the machine tool sector by booking the largest stand at next year’s MACH Exhibition taking place at the NEC (Birmingham) in April 2014.

The 806m2 stand booked by Mills in Hall 5 (Stand 5430) will see the company take centre stage at the show and, according to Managing Director, Nick Frampton, 'the size of the stand not only reflects Mills’ position in the machine tool sector but also provides the ideal platform to showcase the full depth and breadth of the Doosan range of machines to visitors.'

MACH is an important event in Mills’ calendar and is always keenly anticipated by customers and staff alike.

MACH is also the only exhibition that Mills attends.

Explains Nick Frampton:

'Our business is totally focused on the UK and Ireland and we consider MACH (which is primarily aimed at UK and Irish manufacturers) to be ‘our’ Exhibition.

'As a consequence we invest significant resources into making our MACH attendance successful and, certainly over the last few MACH shows, we have been impressed with the volume of visitors to our stand, the spike in sales experienced during and following each event, and the momentum every MACH exhibition gives to our sales and marketing activities.'

Despite being some months away, plans are well underway to make MACH 2014 (from Mills’ perspective at least) the best show ever.

Mills will be showcasing 21 machines on its Stand and these will include a number of large-capacity Doosan machines e.g. horizontal boring machines, vertical turning lathes, horizontal & vertical machining centres, and big Puma lathes. The company will also be exhibiting its latest 5-axis machining centres, mill-turn machines and multi-tasking lathes and turning centres.

Mills also intends to use the MACH show as the vehicle to launch new Doosan machines into the UK and Irish markets.

Amongst these will be new ranges of 7-axis sliding head sub-spindle lathes, and Lynx lathes equipped with Y-axes.

Mills’ stand will also be used to showcase the CNC Training Academy (recently voted the UK’s Number One Training Scheme Provider), and its new machine tool servicing operation – Mills CNC Servicing.

Concludes Nick Frampton:

'MACH is a great UK institution and that’s why we support it.

'The fact that we’ve committed to taking the largest stand at the Show demonstrates the confidence we have in the strength and resilience of UK manufacturing, and the continuing popularity of the Doosan machines we sell and support'.
