New products and more at WNT open house

Added to MTDCNC by WNT (UK) Ltd on 05 November 2012

WNT’s open house on the 23rd and 24th January 2013 will have something for everyone whether they are looking to improve the performance of their current cutting tools or even invest in new machine tools.

Making use of WNT’s technology centre visitors will be able to see demonstrations of the company’s cutting tool technology, including HCN2125 turning inserts for stainless steel and the SCR range of solid carbide milling cutters. Visitors will also be among the first to see and discuss WNT’s latest introductions for steel grooving (HCR 1335 and HCRN1345) as well as the new range of 5xD High Feed Drills.

“The WNT open house provides a valuable opportunity for us to chat with customers away from their normal environment and explain in detail how WNT and the products that we are introducing can help them to remain highly competitive through improved productivity and cost reductions,” says Glenn Stanton, WNT’s UK & Ireland Sales Manager. “HCN 2125 and SCR Monstermill have been focus products for us during 2012 and in their respective areas of application they have demonstrated the benefits that we can bring to our customers. The new products that we will unveil at the open house will be targeting the same results for customers.”

The key features of the new products being shown at the open house are increased versatility, improved process security and higher productivity. For example, the new HCR1335 and CN1345 Dragonskin grades are designed for grooving application in steel and the substrate and coatings deliver high cutting speeds, improved wear resistance and along with it improved process security when machining a wide range of steel components.

Helping to reduce manufacturing costs the C900 High Feed drills use the same indexable insert for the centre and peripheral insert, and the a universal grade of carbide across the range. Each insert also has four cutting edges with the result that major cost savings can be made through rationalising insert inventories, and set up times are reduced as using a single insert style eliminates any possible operator confusion. The C900 drills are also available as standard in 3, 4 and 5x diameter flute lengths.

Throughout the two day event a variety of demonstrations will be carried out on the XYZ machines installed at the technical centre. As these machines will soon be replaced, as part of the partnership between WNT (UK) and XYZ Machine Tools, so there will be the opportunity to purchase the demonstration machines at significant discounts during the event with XYZ staff on-hand to discuss these and any other machine too requirements that you may have.

To register your interest in attending please contact WNT (UK) on 0800 073 2073 or e-mail glenn.stanton@wnt.com with everyone that registers and attends receiving a free digital caliper.
