Added to MTDCNC by Romi Machines (UK) Ltd on 19 May 2016

At the ROMI Open House event this week in Rugby, the crowds were most certainly drawn to the event and the variety of technology on show. This was evident as the company sold 6 machines at the event.

The two day exhibition at the company's UK headquarters from the 18th to the 19th May incorporated technology from a range of disciplines that certainly pleased the attending engineers.

As a leading manufacturer of machine tools, ROMI showed off its C510 CNC and manual lathe, the ROMI GL240 turning centre and the ROMI VTL 500MR vertical turning centre. From the milling stable, ROMI demonstrated its impressive ROMI D1250 machining centre that was cutting an aluminium demo part to highlight the simplicity of the Siemens ShopMill CNC control.

As one of the technology partners at the event, the demo part was being cut with Sandvik Coromant's latest 390 indexable end mill series. One of ROMI's fastest selling machine tools, the 5-axis DCM 620 was cutting a demonstration model of a car to highlight the 5-axis potential and capability. Also an industry leader in injection moulding machines, ROMI also had three high performance heavy duty injection moulding machines at the event.

Partnering the machine tool builder at its event was Kawasaki Robotics, 1st MTA workholding, Vero CAM Software, Sandvik Coromant, Mitsubishi Electric EDM machines from HK Technologies and 3D Printing technology from HK3D.
