Seco reports Farnborough success
Alcester-based Seco Tools (UK), the leading manufacturer and supplier of carbide cutting tools and tooling systems solutions has announced that its attendance at this year&rsquos Farnborough Air Show in July was a huge success.
Using the event to raise its profile amongst the aerospace manufacturing elite and to launch a number of new initiatives, which included the companys new Aerospace Competence Centre, to the wider aerospace manufacturing fraternity, Seco invested considerable effort and resource into Show.
From its main (64 square metre) stand in Hall 4, the company had a number of interactive touch-screens where visitors could access Seco&rsquos recently-launched aerospace micro-site &ndash a resource that features a comprehensive range of recently designed and developed segment-specific Seco tooling and turnkey solutions.
The company also, with some foresight, booked an equivalent-size, outdoor exhibition space on the excellently-positioned main concourse where it parked the Seco Mobile. The Mobile was used for meetings with customers, networking with visitors and for corporate hospitality in general.
Says Mike Fleming, Secos Technical & Marketing Manager:
Both of our exhibition areas were busy and we welcomed well over 100 UK and international visitors and customers onto our Stands.
Our Mobile was in a great position. Visitors were able to spend time with us, enjoy the hospitality provided and watch the air displays from a prime position.
Our main Stand in Hall 4 provided the ideal venue to launch the Aerospace Competence Centre the new joint venture between Seco Tools (UK) and Seco Tools (France) focused on capturing, exploiting and leveraging our in-house applications expertise and technical excellence in aerospace component design and manufacturing.
Reflecting the truly international nature of Farnborough and the importance of the aerospace segment to Seco, a significant number of overseas representatives from Seco visited the Show, and who, along with a large contingent of staff from Seco (UK), were on hand to meet customers and visitors throughout the week.
Concludes Mike Fleming:
We were out in force at Farnborough...and the investment we made has paid off.
Farnborough is a networking event and the type of visitor making their way onto our Stand as well as the nature of the enquiries we have taken demonstrate that we are creating a strong profile and excellent reputation in the segment.
