Seco Tools (UK), the leading manufacturer and supplier of carbide cutting tools and tooling systems solutions has a strong presence at this year' Farnborough Exhibition in July.

Because, not only is Seco exhibiting from a 64sq metre stand in Hall 4 (Stand E10) ' the company has also confirmed that, for the first time ever, it has booked an equivalent-sized outdoor exhibition space on the excellently-positioned main concourse where, for the duration of the Show, it will park the Seco Mobile ' a hydraulic van with expandable sides - and will use this as an alternative and secondary base for meetings with customers, networking with exhibition visitors and for corporate hospitality in general.

The big investment that Seco is making in Farnborough this year demonstrates the significance of the Show to the company and reflects the importance of the aerospace segment to Seco' continuing growth and success.

Says Mike Fleming, Seco Tools (UK)', technical and marketing manager:

'Farnborough provides an ideal platform to meet and network with our existing aerospace customers and with prospects.

'The aerospace segment is critical to our success, and we will be using this year' event to launch the new 'Aerospace Competence Centre' - a joint venture between Seco Tools (UK) and Seco Tools (France) focused on capturing, exploiting and leveraging our applications expertise and technical excellence in aerospace component design and manufacturing (including Knowledge Management (KM), Best Practice Transfer and collaborative strategies and techniques) ' to aerospace manufacturers.'

Seco has a strong reputation and pedigree in the aerospace sector.

The company' revolutionary and best-selling Jetstream Tooling solutions remain ever popular with aerospace manufacturers (OEMs right through to precision subcontractors), and year-on-year Seco introduces a significant number of new and upgraded products into the market, specifically aimed at this segment.

Recently these have included new ranges of high-performance cutting tools aimed at machining titanium and titanium alloys machining heat-resistant super alloys, and machining carbon fibre composites...to name but a few.

Concludes Mike Fleming:

'We're big in aerospace and are getting bigger. The size of our presence at Farnborough reflects this, and I know that visitors to our Stands will be impressed with the range of world-class manufacturing solutions we have developed and introduced into the aerospace segment in recent years.'
