Over 130 customers attended the two-day event taking advantage of the ability to see the latest WNT cutting tool and workholding technology put through their paces on the technical centre’s selection of XYZ machine tools. Among the new products on show were WNT’s workholding systems, including the ESG Mini compact vice system, the H5G vice for heavier duty workholding and the MNG Zero Point base plate system. Tooling being demonstrated included the SCR range of solid carbide milling cutters as well as new HCN2125 turning inserts for stainless steel and the latest development of the C900 range of indexable insert drills, capable of drilling up to 5x diameter as standard.

“The interest shown by everyone that attended was fantastic and was a statement of the confidence that is still present in the small to medium sized sub-contract manufacturing companies that are at the heart of our business,” says Tony Pennington, Managing Director WNT (UK). “Our sales team is going to be busy in the coming weeks following up the enquiries generated over the course of the event. We will also be working closely with our machine tool partner, XYZ Machine Tools, to develop the tooling business generated as a result of the considerable number of machines sold during the two days.”
