AFRC announces new partnership deal with Quickgrind

The University of Strathclyde’s Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) is delighted to welcome cutting tool manufacturer, Quickgrind, as its latest tier two member.

Quickgrind has an international reputation for solid carbide and high speed steel cutting tools for the aerospace, automotive, medical and general engineering industries. This new partnership will enable Quickgrind to promote its products and services to the AFRC’s tier one members and partners as well as its tier two members.  In return, the company will provide the AFRC with its technology and consultancy support for the centre’s machining related research. 

Ross Howell, Managing Director at Quickgrind said:  “Our new partnership arrives at an opportune time for Quickgrind as the AFRC goes through a period of significant growth and expansion.  In turn, the AFRC will receive the benefits of our unique Quickgrind technical support and services which can be passed on to industry and its tier one and tier two members and partners.”
