Automechanika Birmingham and Subcon - two events in one visit for automotive engineers

The first ever UK edition of the international automotive industry event Automechanika Birmingham and Subcon, the UK’s leading event for contract and subcontract manufacturing supply chains, will both be held at the NEC, Birmingham, from 7 to 9 June.

Automotive industry visitors will have the chance to cover the complete supply chain from advanced proprietary products to contract manufacturing services from Tier One, Tier Two and sub-tier suppliers.

Automechanika Birmingham will play host to more than 550 highly regarded businesses in the automotive aftermarket and supply chain. The stand space has been sold out for months, with those exhibiting enthusiastic about the opportunities Automechanika Birmingham presents to both companies and visitors, including business seminars, workshops and feature areas.

Now in its 40th year, Subcon 2016 will feature over 400 UK and international suppliers ready to take on automotive projects across the complete manufacturing spectrum – including machined components, presswork, castings, fabricated assemblies, plastic mouldings, surface engineering, electronics, composites, and many more.

Visitor to Subcon can also attend a free-of-charge conference looking at some of the hottest technology trends and their impact on supply chains, including additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, collaborative robots, advanced metrology and remanufacturing.

Simon Albert, Event Director said: “Automechanika Birmingham is sure to be a success because we not only have national, but also international exhibitors and a huge amount of relevant content and as Subcon is open at this same time, our visitors can certainly get an all round experience by attending both exhibitions.”

Grant Burgham, Business Development and Portfolio Director for Centaur Engineering Live Events said: “The two events together provide a unique opportunity for automotive industry visitors to get maximum value from their visit to the NEC. This is a win-win for visitors, exhibitors and the UK automotive industry as a whole.”
