GO AIR Confirms AIRBUS Order
Global aerospace giant Airbus has signed an agreement with Indian low-cost airline Go Air for 72 new aircraft. The contract will be a boost for the company that has UK manufacturing facilities in Filton and Deeside.
Following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was agreed during the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2016, a contract has now been signed for the complete order.
This latest agreement takes GoAir's firm order book for A320 aircraft to 144. the low-cost airline took delivery of its first A320 in June 2016 and now operates a fleet of over twenty aircraft.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of GoAir, Mr Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said: "The A320 provides the latest technical innovations and unbeatable economics. We are happy to offer our passengers the most modern and comfortable cabins. This new order will further strengthen our network by adding more domestic and international routes in the years to come."
