KUKA Robotics Joins MTD

Added to MTDCNC by KUKA Robotics on 08 July 2016

With the recent arrival of the new MTDCNC website, our team has consciously aimed to develop a portal that instantly leads the visitor to the channel of relevance with ease and speed. As part of the investment, MTD has built a dedicated automation channel, something that will now be strengthened by the introduction of globally renowned robotics and automation specialists KUKA Robotics.

So, Who are KUKA?

As an overview, KUKA is a German developer of industrial robotics and automation solutions. Founded in 1898, the company has a steady stream of world first's, such as Europe's first welding transfer line built for Daimler Benz, the first industrial robot with 6 electro-mechanically driven axes, the world's first passenger carrying industrial robot and much more. The 12,000+ workforce generates global revenue figures beyond €2Bn Euros through its 25+ worldwide subsidiaries.

Still not aware? Well, if you ever watch the movies, KUKA robots have appeared on the silver screen in movies such as James Bond's 'Die Another Day' and Ron Howard's 'The Da Vinci Code' - and this doesn't include its applications behind the camera or even at theme parks such as Universal's Island of Adventure and the Epcot theme park in the US.

For those of us that are a little less Hollywood, all we need to know at present is that KUKA is one of the leading manufacturers of robotic systems worldwide. Its industrial solutions are so diverse that robots and automation are deployed in sectors such as the transport, food and beverage, construction, glass, foundry and forging, the wood, stone and metal processing industries plus much much more.

Behind the hardware is some of the slickest automation software you could imagine and this is backed by product and automation experts that can deliver on all your automation demands. Of course, we'll be keeping you up to date with all the latest news, product information, deals and video footage from KUKA Robotics and its customers.....and who knows, we might even get a slot as extras on the next Bond film. We've certainly got our very own 'Oddjob' in Joe....
