UTC Confirm UK Still 'Great Place for Business' Despite Brexit
United Technologies (UTC) CEO Greg Hayes has declared that the UK is still a great place to do business despite the Brexit vote last month.
Why is this yet another shot in the arm for UK PLC, well UTC is one of the world’s largest suppliers of advanced aerospace and defence products. The company designs and manufactures systems and components for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft and helicopters with over US$1Billion of business already in the UK.
Whilst the referendum has cast a shadow of doubt over the UK business community, the signs from last week's Farnborough Air Show were positive. Mr Hayes was one of many global aerospace voices at Farnborough to air his thoughts on Brexit and why a post-Brexit UK should be seen an opportunity rather than a threat to the UK aerospace sector.
The UTC CEO suggested there are a number of factors that make the UK a great place for business. Factors such as a highly educated workforce, flexible labour rules and a competitive tax policy will ensure that UTC continues its investment strategy despite the Brexit vote.
