With a response time of 1ms, the OPR-063-M collision and protection device from SCHUNK, the competence leader for clamping technology and gripping systems, is setting new standards for robot applications.

The rapid lightweight unit consists of a housing that is made of hard-anodized aluminum alloy that only weighs 290g. Designed primarily for applications on small robots, the monitoring is not carried out with internal proximity switches. It is conducted by an exchangeable magnetic switch from the outside.

After a collision, the unit only has to be returned to its original position, disassembly is no longer necessary. This simplifies operation, minimises malfunctions and reduces the need for spare parts. The triggering force and moment can be adjusted via the operating pressure. With the help of a standardized adapter plate, the module can be quickly and simply integrated into the system.
