Correa Norma bed milling machines satisfy the demands of small subcontract engineers, OEMS with tricky, complex, large component manufacture and jobbing shops where flexibility is a must.

We took a few minutes to explore the Correa Norma 45 bed mill, a large machine offering 4500mm of travel in the X axis and unusually 1500mm in the Z axis. Different to most machine tools of this nature, the Norma 45 is built using just a two piece casting, one for the bed and one for the column, this ensures the machine remains stable and vibration free even under an extreme machining environment.

Popular amongst toolmakers, aerospace machinists and oil country sub-contractors, the Norma machine can accomodate up to 10000kg of component weight on the working table. The layout is extremely user friendly with access to the entire table thanks to the two retractable doors.

To cater for multi axis machinists, you can opt for a 'B' axis head providing the flexibility to machine on angles, mill, drill, thread and contour.
