Design & Technical Services (DTS) have now struck an agreement with RAM Engineering & Tooling Ltd, that will see the leading machine tool distributor North of the Border, offer the DTS line of Correanayak and Honor machines into Scotland.

Commenting upon the new partnership, DTS Business Manager, Mr Alistair Macdonald says: 'We are delighted to be working with RAM Engineering, a company that has an impeccable reputation for the recommendation and supply of manufacturing excellence in the machine tool industry. Their wealth and depth of industry expertise, as well as their network and market reach in Scotland will undoubtedly benefit our product line. For the manufacturing industry in Scotland, access to our extensive range of machine tools, training and service packages will undoubtedly enhance the sector for everyone’s benefit.'

The Correanayak line offers a full range of milling and turning machines from three to five-axis with remarkably large bed sizes and capacity ranges. This huge capacity range is combined with an unparalleled build quality and rigidity that enhances performance, productivity and component quality. The Correanayak line will be available from RAM Engineering along with the DTS line of Honor Vertical Turning Centres. Like the Correanayak machines, the Honor VTL's are designed with a rigidity and productivity imbued in their DNA. The build quality of these machine tools will be of particular interest to the Scottish manufacturing sector that is heavily involved in large component machining of difficult materials for the aerospace, oil & gas, petrochemical, renewable energy and general subcontract markets. As Mr Macdonald continues: 'Our robust machine tools have an unparalleled reputation in these industry sectors; as the capacity, capability and productivity levels generate huge benefits for the end users. We are relishing the prospect of working closely with RAM Engineering and its customers through 2015 and beyond.'
